On game Weekends, anything near the Stadium will be hopping. Good spots to check out would be the Hotel Northland, Hampton, or Hyatt regency will put you in the center of the Downtown area. Downtown hotels will be a tad cheaper than stuff near the Stadium. The average places will be $250-300 a night minimum if you can find rooms. You will get what you pay for, but understand the baseline low levels (like The Day's Inn) will be charging $150-200+ a night. In my opinion, you haven't really lived until your face is caked with ice pellets in a cold November squall watching the game in person. Being December, more likely sleet and ice than snow (which hits more in January usually, so be prepared to experience the elements.
